Master's thesis: 6 weeks to deadline with no results chapter
Sofia, 26 | MS in Public Health | Public university, West
The challenge
Data collected, nothing analyzed, six weeks to submission, and a graduate assistantship that took thirty hours a week.
What we changed
- Week one was analysis only, with a fixed analysis plan agreed in advance so there was no exploring.
- Chapters 4 and 5 were drafted in parallel with alternating review, so I was never waiting.
- Formatting and references were done in week five, not week six, leaving a real buffer.
The outcome
Submitted four days early and graded at distinction level.
Deciding the analysis before touching the data is what made six weeks possible.
